For those familiar with Pressbooks (a self-publishing tool), I am experiencing some quirks I cannot seem to find the cause nor how to delete. Here goes: Foremost, I am new to Pressbooks, and this is a trial book so I can get familiar with Pressbooks. It is not a real book, but I am trying to set up structure as-if it were my book. For example, I have Sections I and II…and subsequent chapters within each Section. To set up the Sections, I had to delete the default structure they give you for starters. I believe there was a default section called “Body”, or such, which I deleted. (I have a hunch that this may have triggered the second issue below.)
Here’s my issues when I preview:
- I see an extraneous “1” above “Chapter 1”. (FYI: For now, my chapter title is “Chapter 1”.) In contrast, Chapter 2 appears as expected.
- There is an extraneous blank page after the last chapter in Section I and before the start of Section II.
Why is this happening? More importantly, can you direct me where to go to delete these undesired things?
