Any Pro Wrestling Fans in the Audience? (Multiple promotions) (Part 2)

I don’t know how long she’s been doing this, but Chelsea Green has taken to making official statements on presidential letterhead.

Here’s the most recent one, about CakeGate:

She is a gem and must be protected at all costs.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been moved to the Alumni section.

The writing was on the wall when AoP got let go. I doubt this is a future take-backsy.

He can be a big fish in a small pond, but apparently not in an ocean.

CM Punk and LA Knight will team up in the main event tonight on RAW against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

In other news, Women’s Champion Naomi has not been medically cleared to compete and the match with Iyo Sky will not be happening tonight.

Grayson Waller to Adam Pearce, re: Penta.

“He should be fined, he should be suspended, he should be banned from wearing hats.”

Naomi vacated the Women’s World Title in RAW due to her pregnancy, and, I’m happy to say, did not make a face turn.

It seems like whenever a married woman gets the title, she has to relinquish it a few months later because of a celebratory f*ck.

This has blown up the Internet the last couple of days:

At an indie show, an MMA fighter, Raja Jackson, got carried away with a planned spot, and after slamming wrestler Syko Stu into unconsciousness, he proceeded to beat the living hell out of him with punches to the head until he lost several teeth.

Legal action is likely to follow.

Last night on SmackDown, Sami Zayn defeated Solo Sikoa to win his first United States Championship.

Zayn needs just a world title to become a Grand Slam Champion.

Zayn ended Sikoa’s reign at 62 days.

Cody Rhodes on First We Feast

He talks about how his dad (Dusty Rhodes) would take him to the grocery store for promo exercises. “Look at that head of lettuth over there. It’th looking at you. It don’t like you. What you got to thay about it?”

The WWE Speed division is back after a brief hiatus following the cancellation of the show on Twitter.

Now it’s on NXT, and it made its broadcast debut last Tuesday with Candice LeRae defeating TNA star Xia Brookside.

They’re part of a 4-woman tournament to determine who will face Women’s Speed Champion Sol Ruca at No Mercy.

As a reminder, Speed division non-title matches are fought under a 3-minute time limit, while title matches take 5.

El Grande Americano is the men’s Speed Champion. It was won by Chad Gable when he was under the mask (ironically, Gable’s first singles title in the company), and is now being defended by Ludwig Kaiser. Or at least someone who bears a striking resemblance to Ludwig Kaiser.

After 10 years, AJ Lee returned on SmackDown in the world’s worst-kept secret.

I always liked the way she’d give that “You just made my shit list” look when she was a wrestler. That persona was ruined when they made her an authority figure.

Allie/The Bunny could also do that look.

I’ve always liked the way she skips to the ring.

I thought it was funny when John Cena telegraphed it in his opening promo.

WWE’s disgusting business relationship with Saudi Arabia is reportedly finally leading to them getting WrestleMania 43 in 2027.

And they want to throw oodles of cash at retired legends like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Steve Austin to make appearances and maybe even wrestle.

It’s Meltzer, so we’re never sure if the source is ‘I’m guessing’ or ‘I’m just pulling shit out of my ass’, but he doesn’t have many actual sources anymore. Though, hey, if they throw money at them, I’m sure they’ll make the trip, but none of the names mentioned can go anymore. Doesn’t really matter for me. Just extends my WWE hiatus until, at the very least, past the next Backlash show. Probably more, as I’m not spending on ESPN. I’ll keep enjoying indie shows.

In the main event of Worlds Collide: Las Vegas, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio won the AAA Mega Championship, his first world heavyweight title, from El Hijo del Vikingo in a match married by the interference of at least four people.

Post-match, he compelled Rey to wrap the title around his waist.

Jackson has now been arrested.

WrestlePalooza tonight in Indianapolis. The first WWE PLE on ESPN.

Brock Lesnar overcomes 3 Attitude Adjustments from John Cena and hits about six F5s to win in the opening match. Lesnar countered the Five Knuckle Shuffle and picked his spot. Post-match, Lesnar F5’d the referee and then hit Cena with another one. The crowd shots showed a little boy crying.

Paul Heyman introduced Lesnar in his much-imitated style.

The Usos lost to Bron-Bron. LA Knight was the guest referee. Things went downhill for the Usos when Jey went for a suicide dive on one of his opponents, and almost hit Knight. Knight actually said the S-word at that.

The distraction allowed The Dangerous Alliance to get weapons in the ring, and soon the Usos were both put through a table and Jey was Tsunami’d.

Stephanie Vaquer surprised me by defeating Iyo Sky for the vacant Women’s World Title, vacated by Naomi after her pregnancy announcement.

The mixed tag team match turned into a de facto inter-gender match, with AJ Lee putting Rollins in the Black Widow octopus stretch and Becky putting Punk in the Sharpshooter.

The male-on-female violence was minimal but that’s to be expected. The drama was still there, though. Great match.

Before the main event, American Badass Undertaker came out on his motorcycle, sat next to Stephanie McMahon in the front row, and announced her as the first 2026 inductee into the Hall of Fame.
