Any Pro Wrestling Fans in the Audience? (Multiple promotions) (Part 2)

Also, Hobbs had a lot of trouble lifting and controlling Wight. Hobbs couldn’t set Wight down well. I do hope Wight is ok and that it was a completely gimmicked spot. Wight is probably watching Sting and thinking to himself, “If he can still do this, so can I.”

Going into the match, I said to my brother, “I hope Hobbs gets a good power spot against (Wight).” That was a power spot, but not a good one.

Ronda Rousey is all elite.

OH FUCK ME WWE REHIRED CM PUNK

I give it six months tops, during which he demands the main event of Wrestlemania, beats Roman Reigns clean for the title, and then celebrates by brutally assaulting and hospitalizing Ridge Holland for looking at him cockeyed.

More important than that, R-Truth made his return after a year! What’s up?!

So far, the news is that talent wasn’t told ahead of time that Punk would be returning, Drew McIntyre loudly stormed out of the building when he found out Punk was there, and Michael Cole and Corey Graves had to physically restrain Seth Rollins from going after Punk when he made his entrance.

I just read that the main event participants were told just before the match. Every site is just making up shit right now, hoping to be the one to roll the dice on the right answer and then say “we told you so” as if they weren’t guessing.

Can’t wait to see Randy and Truth together again. Hope I don’t have to wait long for the door to hit Punk in the ass on his way out.

corny and last predicted this about a month ago … but the timing off for how I’d book this …

I would have started back at Summerslam Punk and Reigns fight but no real winner punk wants a rematch of course but judgement day and the other bloodline get in the way …to get the rematch punk wins the Rumble wins at WM Cody goes for another title run and wins at SummerSlam or survivor series if they want some build-up

The problem has always been how to credibly get the belt off of reigns when he’s already stomped most of the WWE so they take page from the territories and bring in a hot shot short timer give him his 15 minutes of glory and then put the belt on who they want the next champ to be …punk gets to be the iron shiek to codys hogan

Personally, if I had to book Punk’s return, I’d book him as a monster heel going after Triple H. He’d cut promos blaming Hunter’s ego for running him out of the company ten years ago, and he knows that Hunter only offered him a contract because he knows it’s “best for business”, but he doesn’t care about business - he wants revenge. One by one, he goes after all of Hunter’s golden boys and beats them. Austin Theory, Dragon Lee, Kevin Owens, one by one he beats them all. He even goes down to NXT and wipes the floor with Bron Breakker, Cameron Grimes, and Ilja Dragunov, and wins the NXT title, but he refuses to accept it and just tosses it in the garbage on his way out of the arena.

Eventually he enters the Royal Rumble and wins, but refuses to pick an opponent for Wrestlemania. He explains that the Rumble ten years ago was his last match in WWE, and he had it won, but Hunter didn’t think it was “best for business” back then and so had Kane eliminate him. Back then, the only thing he wanted, the one thing he’d never achieved, was challenging for the world title in the main event of Wrestlemania, but he doesn’t care about that anymore - he wants a match with Hunter instead. Hunter, of course, says he can’t wrestle because he’s retired, and books Punk against Roman and says Punk is fired if he no-shows - and he assigns Shawn Michaels as enforcer to make sure the match goes as planned.

Eventually the main event of Wrestlemania rolls around. Punk and Roman get in the ring and square off… and Punk immediately lies down on the mat, refuses to move, and yells at Roman to cover him, and Roman, disgusted, obliges and pins him before HBK can intervene. The crowd starts booing the hell out of the place, and Shawn gets in Punk’s face and starts yelling at him. Punk snaps and starts beating the hell out of Shawn, then gets a chair and threatens to cripple him unless Hunter gets his ass out there right now - and Hunter makes his way down to the ring, pulling his tie and suit jacket off as he goes, and gets in the ring, and they have their match, which Punk wins before riding off into the sunset never to be seen again.

But what do I know? I’m just a mark.

lol ok that would be awesome no chance in hell of happening but awesome anyways

I think that HHH has adopted Vince’s “Never say Never” attitude in bringing back past stars that have tarnished reputations like Hulk Hogan. HHH’s last dance with Shawn Michaels as his partner was less than impressive, so I don’t think he’d be that eager to return to the ring, but I can’t rule out Punk punking him out as an angle. He knows Punk will make money for WWE, and a feud with Reigns will make more cashola. Reigns can still keep the title after appearing to defend against a historically powerful opponent. Punk may make money, but Roman makes more.

Thanks! Usually my fantasy booking prompts people to comment that it’s a good thing I’ll never be given creative control over a promotion.

(I STILL think Shane McMahon should’ve ended the Streak, though.)

@Smapti I was trying to be polite. As Momma Odds used to say, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything”.

This news is a week old, but I didn’t see it elsewhere in this thread:

Tammy Lynn Sytch (Sunny) has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for a fatal DUI crash that killed a 75-year-old man.

I’m a JD McDonough mark. There, I said it.
I like how they’ve been teaming him up with Dom. They’re both roughly the same size and synchronize their double moves pretty acutely. They’re considered the lieutenants you beat before confronting the final boss, thus they usually look at the lights, but they look good doing it. They could work epic matches with DiY.

Are you saying that JD and Dom are to Bagwell and Norton as Finn and Priest are to Hall and Nash?

An NWO B-team reference! Bagwell and Dom are jailbirds on top of that.

Ken Shamrock has apparently signed a Legends deal with WWE, as he now has new merchandise in the WWE Shop. Could lead to a Hall of Fame induction. Maybe even an in-ring return, but he’s 59.

Wes Lee will be out eight to 12 months with an injury. He’ll miss the North American Title match with Dom.
