Any Programmers Here?

kferr: I missed seeing PL/1 on your list. You get credit for the first mention here. And I’ve done a few floor sorts in my time…

(I think that’s right)

TWTCommish: I’m 44. I was going to be cute and post it in hex, but after working out Bumbazine’s message, I gave up THAT idea…

Balance: I vaguely remember that ditty. Do you have the whole thing?

SmackFu: Where did you learn PL/1? On what platform?

RJKUgly: did you do the usual bit of tossing the card chips in the air like confetti? (They were chips before they were chads) I put a handful down a friend’s defroster vents in his car once in August, just before he left on his honeymoon. He didn’t turn on the defrosters until October. He thought it was snowing inside the car.

And the vessel with the pestal holds the brew that is true.

I think I need to go lay down now.
But before I go, picture this:
At the place I first learned computer operations, (on a Xerox Sigma 6), a young fellow, who was NOT me, bent over a running card reader machine with a baggie of M&Ms in his shirt pocket. The candy immediately made a break for it, and slithered into the guts of the machine. He spent many happy minutes cleaning chocolate off of gears and mirrors.

I went looking for it a while back and found the full lyrics of The Last Bug on the GNU humor site.
