I did pick up a parcel today, but it was Eve’s Golden Images arriving long before I expected it. Nice to get, but I still want my SS package!

I hate it when people fall through after signing up for things. Some people even did it with the book fairy project, which means they are letting down little kids. Grrrr…
Anyway, I would be happy to adopt one of you if Green Bean would forward an address. I love to shop for presents.

Strangely enough, I am not pissed at not receiving anything. Maybe it is my inner buddist coming to fruition, to do my best and not get attached to the outcome.
I’d be willing to adopt an orphaned SS giftee as well. People who just sign up to get free stuff and then don’t follow through on sending their own gift really piss me off.
They should be shunned.

We finally got ours! Apparently it was actually delivered last week, but the lazybones UPS driver didn’t bring it to the apartment or leave a notice, so I didn’t know it was there until I went to the office to pick up another package.

Mine came during the board upgrade, and then I went to NYC so I haven’t had a chance to update:

Well, I don’t know what to think. Never got anything. I did have fun picking out a present to send, even though it took so long for the USPS to get it there!
I guess what’s bugged me the most is that I’ve come to feel that if you’re going to sign up to participate in something like this, you really ought to be able to follow through. If you can’t, then say so and drop out.
I feel the same way - or at least send me an “I’m sorry, I broke my leg/ran out of money/just plain forgot/never meant to send anything from the beginning” e-mail.
I’m not soured on the whole thing, and if it’s done next year, I’ll likely sign up again - because finding something to send to someone is just fun.
