I need to do simple updates to some PDF’s. Routine stuff, correcting spelling, bolding a word etc.
Is there a program available other than what Adobe sells for hundreds of dollars?
Related question: is there a program to analyze a PDF and report its contents? Docs, graphics etc. I never know if I’m seeing a graphic (like a scan of a document) or a real doc in a pdf.

I use it to fill in forms (and save them) on locked PDFs. It works well for that, I haven’t tried editing the actual content beyond the areas meant for the user to fill in, but it’s free so it’s worth a shot.
The free version involves uploading your file, editing it online, then saving the edited version. I’ve used quite a few times.

I have been using smallpdf .com but that requires first using PDF to Word, editing the Word doc and then Word to PDF
not a very efficient solution. I also worry about any changes that Word makes that I’m not aware of. adding formatting codes, tabs, auto spell correct etc.
A program that edits and changes the pdf directly (like you posted) is better.
