Any sites along the lines of HowStuffWorks?

This is part GQ, but I’ll dump it here for now.

What I hope to find is a site that explains how stuff gets made. For example, HSW will tell you how a tv works, but I’m looking to find out it’s physically made. From the tube to the cabinet to the buttons. Or how a light bulb is made, or coax, or carpeting, and so on.

Anything like that out there?
