Basically I have suffered from terrible allergies, nosebleeds, and facial pain and occasional nosebleeds my entire life. I never saw a doctor about it or had a ct scan of my face until a couple weeks ago for the first time (i am 21).
It turns out I have a severely deviated nasal septum. Isn’t that something you would want to get fixed? Especially given my history.
I was actually seeing the doctor for a different reason (ear trouble) but I was shocked at how he shrugged off my severely deviated septum as no big deal despite my history of nose problems.
Isn’t this something that I would want to get fixed? It sounds like a safe surgery and I don’t understand why the doctor would not have recommended it for me.
Does anyone here have a deviated septum? Have you had it repaired or do you just live with it? If you had it repaired, was it worth it?
Just trying to find out as much info as possible for when I see the doctor again in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for any opinions guys.
