Glad you had a good time and hope the hotel was ok. How many times did you have to try the key card before you could unlock the elevator? I travel quite a bit and it still took me a few tries. Seems like every time someone new got on they had problems too.

I also apologize for not telling you how to order an Italian beef… Dipped, Hot for me. I don’t have the appetite for a combo anymore but if you do they are very good.

The wait can be long at Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder, but I think it is worth it.

The city is fun. My son has lived the last few years on the two Loyola campuses (Lakeside near Rogers Park/Evanston and Downtown about 2 blocks from your hotel). He’s been home for a couple of weeks and got the itch to go back already. He left my other son’s graduation and took the train in to hang with friends for a few days.

Ha! Yes, my first key didn’t work for the elevator, but worked for the room. The replacement key worked for the elevator but not the room. The last key worked for both… until Saturday afternoon. The maid let me into my room, without checking any ID, which told me this was a common occurrence. When I went back down, they told me they had to re-run my card for incidentals. Weird, because I didn’t purchase anything.

No worries! I’ll get it right next time.
