Before the big shake up last year, when they plastered the headlines with all the trouble veterans were having with getting registered and getting appointments, I was not having any trouble getting into see my primary care doctor nor much of any other problem except for the wait for tests. No biggy
Now since the shake up all I have is problems.
I sent the doctor a message a few weeks back and it took her a week to get back with me
I’ve been having problems with constipation :eek: for a few months now, going on 3 months. Had tests on my liver because I was having a lot of pain all over. Nothing new there. Just wants me to cut down on carbs
A few weeks…maybe a bit more I finally told her about the constipation. She sent me some of that miralax stuff, generic of course, so I’ve been on that for what…two weeks…nothing working
I tried all the foods that usually run thru; corn, beans, fast foods, bran cereal, more roughage.
Nothing is working.
I have had some small watery with some smaller chunks :eek: but really nothing normal for a good 2 2.5 months…
So last week I got a thyroid test because a bad thyroid can slow down your system. Plus mother and sisters have it…but not me apparently. My results were within limits
So I wrote in after I checked the site for my test results and asked to be contacted asap and have the x ray scheduled that was suggested as the next step
At this point…seeing as my father died of colon cancer…you can imagine my concern but apparently the doctor does not. Must be awful busy or a crap doctor?
I’m thinking I might see my husband’s doctor the first part of next week. They discount office appointments for people with no insurance so I can get the appointment paid for but I’d be paying on the xray charge for years!
Just wondering if any one has or knows someone thats had serious constipation and their results???
