Any way to queue up files to be copied from one drive to another in Windows XP?

I’m transferring a ton of files from one drive to another, but I’m picking and choosing which ones as I go. Something that has always annoyed me about Windows is that when you drag and drop another folder or group of files to be copied before the previous one has finished, it just immediately starts trying to do both at the same time, which usually causes a bottleneck and slows both down. Is there a setting to change or any way to make this work so that each time you drag and drop a new folder, it merely queues it up to be copied rather than starting to do it at the same time? I’d ideally like to queue up like 50 or 100 folders and have them copy one right after another.

If you can visually see all the folders at the same time (or via the help of a scroll bar) you could try ctrl-clicking them.

The idea is to hold ctrl key down, then click on ALL the folders you want to move. Then when you’ve moved clicked on the last one drag one of them to the new location (or right click, click cut, then right click in the new location and paste)

Oh, I see what you mean. The thing is, it’ll take so long anyway that I’d really rather have it actively transferring as I scan the folder and choose the next thing, rather than waiting until I’m done browsing (an hour or two?) before starting the transfer.

Expand the whole tree in Explorer and Ctrl-click on each folder or file on the RHS, then Cut & Paste right at the end.

Alternatively, you can search the tree for * - Vista has annoying breakpoints at 100 and 5000 files - then pick and choose.
