Any way to search "Castle Island" immigrant lists, online?

Pardon my posting…but I was wondering if anyone knows of a place online to search through the lists of immigrants who passed through the “Castle Island” facility in New York? “ellisisland.org” doesn’t go back past 1892, when Castle Island was used, before Ellis Island.
Well, thanks for your time,
Ranchoth

I’m not sure where such lists would be on-line–if they even exist, but there are several sites that indicate where physical copies may be found:

Manhattan New York County Passenger Lists

National Archives and Records Administration: Immigrant Records

NARA: Port of New York information

The Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild have made up the following lists of ships to New York which may help. Also for further searching the immigration centre is usually called Castle Garden rather than Island.

Sorry I meant to say these lists are full passenger lists of hundreds of ships by year of arrival.

Before 1855, immigrants to the port of New York got off their ships at the docks and went on their way, for better or worse. Castle Garden, the first U.S. immigration processing station, was open from 1855 to 1890. Ellis Island opened in 1892.

If you do find anything online, please post it here. I’d love to take a peek at the Castle Garden lists myself (I’ve probably got relatives on them), but so far haven’t made it down to NARA.
