This afternoon in east-central New jersey, I tried to clean up some of the leaves in the yard, but mother nature had other ideas. The wind would gust up to bout 15 knots for a couple minutes, then stop. A minute or two later, it would happen again, over and over. The thing is, each time these strong winds came, they came from a different direction. There were only a few stratiform clouds at about 1500 ft. in the sky, moving in from the NW at a good clip. I have only seen strong variable winds when connected to a thunder shower or frontal system. Any idea whats up?
More IMHO than GD, really.
I wanted to find out what weathermen think of this phenomenon based on their expertise. Why relegate it to a “What kind of luggage should I buy?” message board?
