Anya Seton's Novel "Avalon" Ever Made a Movie?

I really enjoyed reading this novel-its a fascinating tale of 1000 years ago. It has a lot of action, and is very well done.
Was amovie version ever made? How popular is Seton today?

I don’t think it has. I Googled “Anya Seton movies” and came up with just two, neither of which was Avalon.

I have seen Dragonwyck, starring Vincent Price and Gene Tierney.

I also read her book Katherine, and really loved it. I still have an old hardcover copy of it. There’s a Youtube thing someone put up with their suggested casting for a movie of Katherine. I think it would make a heck of a picture, but proabably too expensive.

I remember reading somewhere that there was serious talk of making a “Katherine” movie back in the 1950s, but the adultery of the two protagonists was problematic for the times, and no studio would do it. I think it would be a great miniseries today, as would " Avalon" or “Green Darkness”, or even “Devil Water”.

Her writing is a bit dated today, but she was a great storyteller.

I must have read “Green Darkness” a hundred times, it is SO SO good. Historical novel set in the 1500’s, and I think it would be a great mini-series, too, but made in England. The kind of thing that used to be on Masterpiece Theater. (I also love “Katherine”).
