Anybody Else Celebrate Christmas in a Traditional Way?

I have two brothers who, along with myself, prefer the camel as a means of transport.

Every Christmas, for as long as I can remember, they have visited me to partake in the seasonal festivities. One evening, in accordance with a long standing family tradition, we ride up the A436 to Stow laden with boxes of brazil nuts, sugared almonds and a bag of satsumas. We tether the camels outside the King’s Arms, an old coaching inn with a stabling area attached at the side. We then have a good look around the stables to check whether a man with a pregnant wife is lying around in the straw because there is no available accommodation at the inn.

Normally there isn’t a family of this description anywhere to be seen so we ride home, eating the nuts & satsumas en route.

Merry Christmas.
