Anybody ever used Allofmp3.com??

Thought I’d ask before I register on this thing … It claims to be a Russian site & offers digital music tracks for like a 5-25 cents apiece (they supposedly own distribution rights of some sort or another). I’ve seen an article that says it’s probably moderately less illegal than, say, Kazaa. On the other hand, I don’t necessarily want to open myself up to every hacker and phisher in the former Soviet Union. Anybody have any experience with the site?

Thanks!

Not me personally, but alot of the users over at anandtech.com use it.
grain of salt.

I have. I’ve spent a few bucks there picking up lots of mp3s. Pretty good site.

Used it quite a lot to download albums that I only have on vinyl (and would therefore be incredibly tedious to rip) and I’m a big fan. Never had any trouble with payments etc. and the fact that you can get downloads in any format you like is a big bonus (I use high quality ogg vorbis). The occasional track (perhaps one in a hundred) turns out to be incomplete, or unplayable, but vast majority are fine, and correctly tagged (another big bonus).

Also, at the moment, exchange rates are in my favour as the site charges in US dollars and I pay in UK pounds.
