Warning: Poo related material ahead!
Things are bubbling over at the pcubed ranch. The septic tank, which was just pumped in March is gurgling up into the yard. The system is 50+ years old, so no big surprise, but we’re not ready (financially) for a new system yet.
The septic guy (poo-pumper) mentioned a system out there called Terralift that extends the life of the leach field by:
a)pounding a long tube into the ground
b)forcing air through the tube causing cracks and fissures in the soil and
c)pumping polystyrene beads into the cracks to provide a pseudo-aerated soil to help things out.
Ignoring the whole non-biodegradableness of the system, has anyone ever used this system and with what results?
(Yes, I’ve visited the Terralift web page and know the details and have read the alleged customer testimonials, but you never know where David Manning will show up. I want doper testimonials, the only type that matter.)
