Mom’s car spun a con rod bearing. Sort of a terminal thing for an engine. Only 70k miles on a 1993 Pontiac Bonniville. Nice car. All the toys a 70 year old woman needs.
Now a choice must be made. Used or Rebuilt. Farm out the job or DIY. I am capable, once upon a time I was a line mechanic at a GM dealer. Friends can help. Nick is a better mechanic then I would have ever become. Other friends can and have loaned tools. The biggest thing is that it is Mom’s car.
Anybody else do jobs like this?
