They’re Bush Dogs. They live in tropical forests in the Americas as far north as Panama. They hunt in packs, mainly for large forest rodents. They kind of look like feral Corgis.

This is the funniest thing I’ve heard all day: killer corgis who roam the jungle, mercilessly snarfing every last rat they can chow!

Yes. I’d love to see one, but they are rare and very wary. There are records from one of the national parks close to Panama City.

Their favorite prey is the paca, which isn’t exactly a rat. They also go for agoutis.
