anybody see that movie sin city?

Saw it tonight.

Damn…just Damn. BEST COMIC MOVIE EVER!

Never even realized green screening was invovled(maybe I heard when it was released, but I forgot it).

And because it was a comic book, I easily accepted Marv being able to take so much damage and shrug it off like getting punched.

I saw it last night in a theater and thought it was great. Mickey Rourke was great as Marv. When he first showed up I assumed it was Ron Perlman, the usual big tough guy in a mask. It is good to see Rourke working again. Has anyone else seen Spun? Rourke plays a good creep. His career looked so promising in 87, it just didn’t make any sense for him to go off & try boxing.

As for the backgrounds: Yes, I recognized that it was supposed to look like a comic book. It reminded me of films from the 30s & 40s with painted backdrops and the whole film noir thing. I especially liked the use of color to draw attention to a single detail.
