The Drudge Report had a scathing headline about Oprah trashing Bush and calling him a “cowboy” during her live show today.
However, any mention of the show suddenly dissapeared from Drudge’s site, so I’m assuming that he was misinformed. Anyone catch the show? (I’m also assuming that episodes are aired on the same day that they’re taped)
Oprah said to Druge sweetly over the phone “Um, what did you write about me? Oh BTW, I just bought your server company”, and Drudge retracted immediately, learning that you don’t mess with a beautifully large Black woman, especially if she is a billionaire.
Hmm . . . I poked around Google’s cache feature, which retains older versions of sites, but no luck. Maybe someone with better Google Fu might try this tack?
The internet: great for propagating information, but uniquely susceptible to the memory hole effect.
