Just curious if anyone is watching it tonight. And what you’ve found the most surprising/frightening thus far.
The most surprising for my part was the bit about how cheese burgers actually have a higher annual CO2 foot print (if you factor in the methane) than SUV’s do in the US. Another surprising thing was the bit about the number of French elderly that died in a couple of months during a summer heat spell in Paris alone (something like 14k ).
For frightening I’d say the bit about the Amazon…I didn’t realize it was that bad there.
I’m subscribed to the National Geographic video podcast and large chunks of it are being released as podcasts. I’m more interested than terrified because I will have no descendents to be affected by global warming and so honestly don’t care all that much about it.
So you really don’t care all that much about the descendants of the good people with whom you’ve shared space here for 20,000+ posts? Think of the Doper children!
