Anyone done business with Monoprice?

I use Monoprice and Blue Jeans Cable almost exclusively for cable of any sort.

I’ve gotten a few gadgets from them – switchers, converters/adapters, and even some monitor swing-arms that didn’t end up being right for my needs. Good prices and quite a lot of variety to select from.

I see a lot of people saying they get cables there. I would also suggest BestCablesForLess as a comparison. Some times they have the same stuff cheaper; some times they have cheaper stuff for a higher price. If you’re purchasing multi-quantities for a company, the difference can be worth comparison shopping.

Also, try Gefen (one F, not two) for some of the switchers and converters/adapters. They actually supply some of the stuff Geffen is selling with a mark-up.

–G!

No problems, but keep in mind that, especially for small orders (because monoprice charges shipping), you can get cables cheaper via Chinese Ebay.com sellers that ship direct from China/Hong Kong. Of course that means a 2-3 week wait instead of <1 week.

Don’t forget to mention the unreliability of their product! Always a selling point!

Love 'em. Also, my company for awhile had a product that shipped with a certain type of cable. We used to buy them direct from a Chinese manufacturer in bulk, but eventually Monoprice offered us the better deal (just through their regular volume discounts on the website). It was cheaper for us to take Monoprice’s cables out of the package (well, plastic bag) and into our packages. Their prices are very very good.

Whoops!
I meant Gefen makes some of the stuff Monoprice marks-up and re-sells.

Anyway, do the comparison thing. I got my 4 -> 1 HDMI switch from Monoprice cheaper than Gefen was selling it for because Monoprice was running a special sale. It turned out the device was made by Gefen; without the sale discount it would have been cheaper to buy directly from the manufacturer. [Shipping would have been the same either way.]

Monoprice is a great company. Want HDMI cables? What length? What color?

The have the cheapest selection of television wall mounts on the web. Much cheaper than those offered at Costco or anywhere else.

Many little things that are overpriced locally are not only available at mono price, but they likely have different versions of it.

I have purchased from them many times. It is one of my ‘go to’ places for electronic accessories.

They sent me new cables free of charge when I screwed up and ordered the wrong ones. They declined when I asked if they wanted the original ones back.

Other than that, HDMI cables that otherwise cost $50 retail are $6-9 from Monoprice. I think the Monoprice cables are of better quality, too.

Based upon replies to my initial question, I’m sold.
