I tried to wait. No really, I did. I even searched to make sure there was a birthday thread back in February and January. Yep, there was. But apparently, and sadly, this one wasn’t forthcoming. Where, oh where could it be?!! It IS already the 5th, ya know.
So who misplaced the one for this month and why do I care?
Well, you see, this year’s is shaping up to be my crappiest ever (I’ll be 36, I’m going through a divorce and won’t be able to spend it with my boyfriend, and my family has disowned me – so, it’ll be pretty un-spectacular) and it’s also my first full year here on the Dope as more of a participating member.
And I was actually looking forward to this small inclusion as about the best highlight I’ll get. Then there wasn’t one and I grew impatient, feeling bad not just for myself, but for anyone else who might be overlooked.
Therefore, I decided to wait no longer and post it myself. Ah, who cares if it’s indulgent, right? Might as well at least wish one’s self good things to come, I always say. Prevents feeling too bad from the lack of anyone else’s attention.
Anyway, to all you others out there who are born sometime between March 1st and 31st, here’s a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you! Hope it’s terrific, with lots of cake, presents and loved ones. May there be many more ahead.

I posted last year and the year before- my birthday is March 7th. But this year is different- the ultimate answer to the question of Life, the Universe, and Everything will become clear to me. I’ll be 42.
Whoops! I didn’t mean not to say which day. ::: blushes :::
I’m before kung fu lola on the eleventh. I didn’t realize I was keeping such good company.
And OneYogini (love your name too, by the way!), thanks for the list… it was incredibly interesting. Some really intelligent and talented people share our month.
So, to a35362, WordMan (thanks for much for the well wishes), ultrafilter, Pammipoo, FilmGeek, and as already mentioned, kung fu lola and OneYogini, I hope each of yours’ special day will be, or was, memorable.
March rocks!!
~Kemi, who’ll probably follow an above suggestion and take herself out to dinner – just, it’ll undoubtedly be shrimp instead of steak
Steelerphan snuck in on me while I was composing my reply.
::: sigh :::
Yes, I know that “preview is my friend,” but apparently only fair weather.
So, here’s an additional post for you, because hitting the very meaning of life is so freakin’ awesome!!! Congrats!
Now, paint the town red! Or maybe green would be more appropriate for those of us who’re born in the same month as St. Paddy’s Day. Gah, I love that part!
There are alot of March babies cause of June weddings. We are all what I fondly call “anniversary babies” (except my parents were married in August. Well maybe I WAS adopted or else a milkman baby )
