No prob. The man is like a brick wall, so in his “peer review” page I suggest glancing over the first page or two to get a sense of his schtick, then skip to around page 5- that’s when he starts his big tizzy fit.
Virtually all of the ATMB thread was funny though, although I was amazed that the moderators actually managed to read all of it and respond in largely coherent, polite ways- the stamina was pretty impressive.
My favorite part of the whole debacle, though, was when lekatt and poptech got into a footrace to see who could get banned first. ^^
I think this is demented SEO at work. Peppering the thread with links to his site (which get captured in people quoting or discussing him) helps him in rankings. Google et al have no way of telling that the site is being mocked or that he had nothing to say that made sense (not just the denial blather, but the less-than-perfect Turing test content-wise). I have no idea if he’s just an idiot or working full time for an SEO company trying to make as many posts as possible, but given that the only GW threads he participated in (and lengthily so) were his own, and the end of his ATMB thread, ISTM that these were intentional spam postings.
Nah, I doubt he’s that subtle. Poptech is like another Time Cube crackpot who takes any disagreement personally and smothers his point with copious accusations and tenuous supporting data before actually making it. I guess he hopes to scare off the smart people before they laugh at him.
I liked the way he thought he could have threads closed when he realized he was involved in an actual debate - and wasn’t doing very well in it. I guess he didn’t understand this wasn’t a radio show where he controlled the microphone.
Say what you will about the regular conservatives on this board - they’re at least willing to venture into hostile territory.
