As many of you know, President Bush nominated Judge Sam Alito to take the position on the Supreme Court that will be vacated by the retiring Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. Judge Alito’s confirmation hearings begin in January, and he has been blogging his journey from pre-nomination onward.
Yeah, I know, it’s not really his blog. But it’s really, really funny. So far, this is my favorite entry (with the Halloween entry coming a close second – I never thought of Justice Clarence Thomas as Batman).
Oh, yeah: I discovered Harriet Miers’s blog way too late. But still, it cracks me up! (All the exclamation points in particular!!!) (And then there’s Patrick Fitzgerald.)
Okay. I’m a dork. Now you can all tell me how this has been going on for years, with fake blogs up on the web, and then I’ll feel like an idiot. But until then . . . I’ll just enjoy my little bit of ignorance.
