OK, you deserve an explanation. This was the first movie that I asked a girl out on a date where it was just the two of us. This theater in the Dallas area had the alternate ending. I remember when the young Susan walked in I sat up in my seat, my jaw dropped open and I turned to my date and said “It’s her”.
So the movie holds a special place to me, and I have purchased the VHS, and DVD, and Blu-ray only to be disappointed. I checked out 14 going on 30 and that is not it. It is a very short seen, maybe 30 seconds, and there is only one line of dialogue by the teacher. She calls the class attention and introduces a new student but doesn’t even give a name, they let the camera do that.
There is no 3 minute scene to fill out a time slot.
As for as the two boys walking I consider that part of the closing credits. It is a recreation of a scene used in the opening credits.
There is some interesting commentary by the writers on the Blu-ray, and I will talk more about that later.
