I wonder if it could be translated more as a concept, like “wildness.” The boys were out on their own (for the day, I presume), far from home and far from supervision. Tragedy happens. Object lesson possibly drawn.
I don’t know, maybe. I didn’t like this film, it seemed facile and kind of glib. That’s mainly about the writing, I guess; I’d say it was well-acted and filmed.
