I have already beaten WC# and the game was great, but I Went to see 8 mile yesterday with a friend and there was a commercial for WC3 on before the movie. Basically all they showed was the FMV parts from the begining of the game, but I must admit they looked great. And the sounds was great too. Kinda made me wonder what a FMV WC3 movie would be like, as long as all the FMV was done at Blizzard.
Anyone else see this at the movies? It came on right after some woman’s deodorant ad at mine :rolleyes:
Blizzard mentioned that they considered doing a feature-length WarCraft movie, but the problem lies in cost. They would not be able to afford to make the movie the way they wanted it. Reading the book that came with the Collector’s Edition of the game, it was implied that if Blizzard couldn’t afford/facilitate something exactly their way, they’d scrap it. Kind of a perfectionist attitude, but its gotten them pretty far up till now.
Hey stink… just spent the weekend finishing off WC3 loved the ending with the rolling credits to damn funny… it said “check back when you have completed the game on Hard” any idea what new stuff is added?

When you beat it on hard, you see a scene from Starcraft done with the W3 engine – sort of the opposite of what Larry was asking for. Cool stuff.
Be aware that the game on hard is a mean sumbitch – especially the wake-the-druids-before-the-ghouls-tear-down-the-forest level. Pain in the motherloving ass.
Actually, you only need to beat the very last mission on hard.
Doing so gets you some more cut scenes (I’m going from memory):

A long clip of all the Warcraft III characters attending a rock concert.

I didn’t see one specifically for one game, but there was a general sort of PS2 ad before Harry Potter. The only thing the ad convinced me off is that the PS2 probably shouldn’t be played on a wide screen tv since the ad images looked horrible, even for games I know look good on a real tv.

I saw both Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Treasure Planet on Friday, and I was shocked by the number of product ads there were before the trailers started. Between the two movies we probably saw 8-10 ads. I don’t know if it’s because Christmas is nearing, or if it’s because the movies are aimed at a family audience(how sinister an ad ploy), but I found it a bit disturbing. The Ring, which I saw on Halloween day, only had one ad in comparision, so it makes me wonder…

u know the demon with the divine armor, so u need chaos damage to kill him
and of course u gotta kill him twice cause he reincarnates…
i managed beat him into the ground twice, but then then undead flattened me
