Anyone else watch cyst popping videos on YouTube?

I may never eat cottage cheese again.

Ear wax removal videos are fun too. All kinds of gobs of wax, fungus, etc.gets taken out of them.

Here is a dandy. Draining of neck abcess with multi-tool blade.

Ok, maybe not a multi- tool, but this guy is just cranking out the videos and having a good time with it,

On you tube, hit the “more from” button and you’ll get a ghoulish list of what he does.

God, I can only watch the first one, and only then because I once had a cyst myself. But not like that one! Jeeze, that was Kuato trying to get out of his back. I’m kind of ill, but still fascinated.

I had a small cyst on my neck, many years ago, no bigger than a pimple. and my local GP excised it, intact, thank God. He opened up the skin around it and cut a diamond shape around the cyst and then just took it out. He sent it to the pathology labs to check it for tumors, but it was fine, just a cyst.

I don’t want to see botfly, do I?

Oh yes, you do!

But it gets worse. The botfly videos are truly strange, as many people make a joke out of them, and have little “parties” to celebrate the birth of the things. What is happening inside your body is not pleasant, and yet people seem to have no problem feeling these things living and squirming inside them, eating the host until they are large enough to leave on their own.

There are three more videos which I must post, but I won’t tell anyone yet, in case they have already been posted. But when I think of things crawling around inside of me, I cannot take it. But still I watch.

“Why, separate knob, why?”

You will see.

Do they typically kill the flies upon their emergence, or do they have an emotional attachment to them?

Most people kill, but not right away, some put in alcohol and save that way, some have birthday parties and kill them when they are off camera.

I’ve never seen anyone chop the botfly in two, although it’s the first thing I would do.

I didn’t want to start a whole new thread for this, but I knew you guys would appreciate it, just as I knew there’d be some manner of zit popping thread I could append my story to.

So, last week I had an annoying hangnail, and I trimmed it with cuticle nippers. I guess in doing so I crammed some wee beasties under the skin, because yesterday it started to hurt, and today it became swollen, with a dark area in the center, surrounded by whitish skin.

I would have gone to the doctor, but I’m on my way to Orlando. Given that the city has some of the busiest urgent cares in the world, I decided I might as well try some home surgery. Either it’ll get better, or I’ll make it bad enough it’s definitely worth the wait at the clinic.

I used hand sanitizer on the spot and the nail clippers that are my only available tool. I had soaked the finger first so the skin was soft. I dug right into the white area, and pus squeezed out of the incision. So I alternated between clipping off skin iand squeezing, getting quite a bit of pus, and one solid white chunk of ick. When I was done the discolored skin had been mostly removed, and I hadn’t even drawn blood.

It’s now lavishly coated in Neosporin (which my phone is determined to correct to noes pork) and band-aided. It feels tender, but SO much better without all that pressure! I’ll keep you updated, especially if it turns awful and needs professional lancing or something!

Sweet. When you change the dressing, don’t slather it liberally in Neosporin, just use the thinnest coating possible on the wound part. More doesn’t kill more, and too much can “macerate” the surrounding skin, spreading the problem. (I wouldn’t bother redoing it now, but just when you change it tomorrow…)

<disappointment over no video>

Here’s a horse sized one:

“Now that’s a horse of a different color.”

Several.

Internally.
