I caught a little bit of Billion Dollar Brain on TV today, it’s the third of the Michael Caine/“Harry Palmer” spy thrillers made in the '60s. I checked the Wikipedia entry and found out it was the last role for the female lead, Françoise Dorléac. She was 25, killed in a car accident before the film was released.

She was also Catherine Deneuve’s sister.

Juanin Clay. She was in the running to play Col. Deering in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century; didn’t get that part but had a prominent guest role in one episode, and was in WarGames as one of the staff of the war room inside Cheyenne Mountain. Died at 45; according to IMDb it was a heart ailment complicated by breast cancer.

Whenever I watch War Games I always notice her and wonder why I didn’t see her in anything else. Sad. I thought she had a wonderful presence.
