Not trying to start a debate, just saying it’s an interesting site.
They put out a magazine. Spendy, though, due to lack of advertising in it, but very good.
Yeah, a friend of mine has a subscription. I read them when he gets them. Have you read the latest one? I think the idea behind it was “I want you to curb your consumption”. It was really good.
I read it regularly, but it’s so annoying as to be almost not worth the pay off. The hypocrisy is so blatent it’s hard to believe. For example:
- Selling “Buy Nothing Day” T-Shirts.
- Pushing gascd, some fundraiser for Quebec City Protesters. Actual Quote: “The Double CD features songs by Michael Franti, Ani DiFranco, Bruce Cockburn, Gil-Scott Heron, and The Barenaked Ladies. For online and offline purchasing info, see”. Sounds almost like an advertisement, don’t it?
- Subscription Cards. Again, Actual Quote: “Now With 3 Easy Ways to Subscribe!”
And the list goes on and on. These people are, in fact, everything they hate.
