Anyone for floss?

No, not that kind of floss.
More like candy floss, but made from meat.

Sure, it sounds funny, but it’s very, very yummy.
I first tasted this food in Malaysia, it was like brown candy floss and didn’t look terribly appetizing. But it tasted, for all the world, like the tastiest roasted pork, and it melted in your mouth.

In Indonesia I discovered they also have fish floss, every bit as yummy. It was always served with a rice dish I can’t remember the name of, but you could get it at every little roadside eatery.

Anyone else tried this tasty treat? Do you happen to know what it’s actually called? I’m pretty sure it’s not ‘floss’ but I am at a loss as to what else it might be called.

My next question is where can I get some, any ideas?

How about here?

 Arguably, I couldn’t resist.

Geez,
I swear I thought you all would come up with an answer to this question in but a few short minutes.

I mean, the TM are such an international group, and well travelled.

I’m shocked, truly shocked!

Well, here’s hoping somebody out there can find an answer, I haven’t given up yet.

As a matter of fact, it is floss:

Thank you so very much!

The people I was with at the time only knew the chinese word for it.

I can’t believe it’s actually floss!

And I can purchase it from that site, you’re the best!

May heavens finest blessings shower down upon you.
