Anyone get the component video cable for your wii?

That’s a link to it on Nintendo’s site.

Your tv has to have the connections, then you make the switch under the settings menu for your wii.

I don’t understand the difference between 480i and 480p, but I did order the cables. I played Mario Galaxy for four days with the cables that come with the system; the new cables arrived today.

I noticed a big difference. The 480p is MUCH clearer and sharper…the colors are a bit more vibrant. It just make everything crisper and cleaner.

BTW, I have a 52" Samsung LCD.

I have them. I did it mostly to run in smooth widescreen. I noticed a difference in sharpness and color, but not a big difference.

I’ve got an aftermarket set, and it was worth the eight bucks or so.

I got a set from monoprice.com. There’s a bit of a difference, not a ton. Certainly worth throwing in the shopping cart if making a bigger purchase. They have some decent Wii peripherals (silicone wiimote wraps that aren’t really bulky, etc.).
