I have my first “See if you’re a good candidate” examination today and since I’m 46 and have bifocals, I’m sure that monovision will come up. If you’ve had it, I’d like to hear anything you can tell me about your experience.
I have not had it myself, but I was wondering if your LASIK people discussed the possibility of a trial period of monovision using contact lenses? Not everyone adjusts well to monovision, but this is a situation where you can find out before you have the surgery if you can adapt.
I haven’t had my exam yet but I assume that if I want to consider monovision that contacts will be required first.
