I know that there’s a big rivalry between Harvard’s serious on-campus newspaper, The Crimson, and its satire publication, the Lampoon. My question is, when an incoming frosh English or Journalism major comes to Cambridge, is it gauche of her to apply at both august institutions? Or is it considered proper that one apply for one or the other, NEVER both?
