I’ve started drinking it. It’s supposed to have cancer fighting agents, help boost your well-being, and even increase your metabolism. Here’s a link with more info: Matcha - Wikipedia
Anyone else try it with good results? I’ve started consuming about three glasses a day…and I have felt and seen some positive results. I’ve lost a bit more weight, I feel more alert for longer, and I generally feel calmer and less anxious. Coffee really makes me jittery and irritable so this Matcha might be just what I’m looking for. This may well be a placebo effect…but there’s nothing wrong with that right?
As long as it makes you feel good.
But here is a list of some of the side effects of drinking tea.
Does not stop me from drinking tea though. Wintermelon is my favorite. Tastes good. Also relaxes me.
Cheap green tea, mostly from China, is bitter and can barely be differentiated from jasmine tea. Yamamotyama, which is from Japan, has a sweetish chlorophyll taste and delivers a clean mellow buzz. It’s actually green, which most tea labelled as “green” tea is not.
Celestial Seasonings green tea is almost as good as Yamamotayama.
It’s also not matcha. I’ve futzed around with matcha a bit, and either have or had a nice bowl and whisk. Didn’t devote enough time to it to get properly skilled at getting a nice foam on it. Stuff packed quite a punch, though…
