Prior owner had installed one, apparently as a a cheap feature to increase the desirability of the house. Had our first fire a few weeks after moving in, and woke up the next morning to the irrrigation system shooting a plume of water straight up and out of it. They had unknowingly built it over the distribution pipe to one of the sprinkler zones.
I joked with my wife that it was a fancy “self extinguishing” fire pit.
Yep, we have one. We use it some for family get-togethers, but mostly for making s’mores with the grandkids!
