waiting on word of Molly the creamsicle kitteh >^.^< and her person…
Molly is still with me while the jury is out on her person. They are going to re-assess her in a week or so when she is ready to move into the facility.
Molly has come along so well I almost would hate to have her go back. She is completely over her people shyness and has come out to get attention from friends of mine she has never seen before. It is taking a little longer to get used to the other cats but even that advances by leaps and bounds daily. If she goes back, it may be that much harder if she needs to find a home in another year again. Still, like any foster parent I agreed to give her back if it was possible but she has become so outgoing and personable I think it would not be difficult to get her placed and have her settle in to another home.
I realize I have been remiss in getting pictures of her up but she still won’t sleep out in the open so getting her to hold still long enough to get a good shot is a bit of a problem. Also, I think she will be going back to the groomer for the full treatment - shampoo, trim, etc, and I will get pictures fresh off the table for posting if/when I start looking seriously for a new home.
And finally, pictures!

Quality is not great - the camera broke and we had to use the phone.
Still waiting to find out if she can go back to her person or not.
Thanks for the update. What a pretty kitty! I especially like the picture with her eyes shut. I admire you very much for being a foster mom and for taking such good care of her. Good luck to Molly however it works out.
Pretty! And unusual too, being a female ginger cat! Hope you get to keep her
Update time. Molly’s former person has to go back for another surgery and it is certain she will not be able to take Molly back when she finally gets into assisted living, so she is officially up for adoption.
I’m actually rather relieved for Molly’s sake. She has really blossomed in the last week, becoming confident and even sassy, grooming herself normally, dealing well with the other cats, and generally turning into a proper cat. She’s lost weight and is eating normally now, so if we can find her the right home before I get too attached she should make someone a wonderful pet. I still think she would rather be an only cat, or perhaps a companion to another older cat, but my mixed bag (especially the 4-month-old) is a bit much for her.
So, Beware of Doug, you interested? Or know anyone who might be?
What a gorgeous girl! We visited our sister and brother-in-law this Christmas who have two new long-haired cats - when we came back to our old, short-haired cats, they seemed so plain and un-glamourous. Here’s hoping the beautiful Molly will find some new, good people!
It does help that she’s gorgeous. Always easier to find a home for a very pretty cat ( and with no front claws, unlike all my other cats). I love all my guys but none of them would stand out as lookers. They make up for it in character and sheer volume of cat product produced.
