Appreciation towards the GM almost goes without saying, but I agree that sometimes it should be voiced.
So here you go Arden and Verrain. I appreciate fully the work you put in here to get this little ‘project’ on the line, and I must say that the game looks very promising with the work you put in so far.

Don’t get too attatched to Thorn, there. Maeglin never got a picture to me so he gets what I like that fits his description until he does.
Well, if he picks one of the pictures I sent him, there’s a good chance I’ll still like him. Not that any of the guys are bad-looking, except maybe Rukh.
You know what’s bizarre? I almost picked Fiona as the parent. Is it common to have a number of characters with a common parent?
Hey, Rukh’s is the only picture I recognize. Is he the only well-known, or am I just out of touch?

I just want to add to this thread to say that I really enjoy the game that Arden has come up with so far. Random is exactly how I envisioned him. (Just as irritating ;))
How is it for everyone else? Is it like you expected it to be? More? How is it for you Arden? Do you find that it is taking too much time? Are we good players? What needs improvement, if anything?
Random’s an ass and will be for many years to come. Llyrinda wouldn’t recognize him by the time he gets married and becomes King.
I have to say it’s going extremely well, I think, especially when we keep in mind that a lot of you have absolutely no experience in PBeM games or Amber. I think any bugs can be worked out as your characters become more second nature to you. The one thing I can think of off the top of my head is that there are a few people who don’t post fast enough and it’s holding up their trip.
My batch of players are (mostly) on their way to Amber. <insert evil chuckle here> The children of the Redheads still have to meet up together for their Introduction of the Big Scary Pattern That I’m Not Supposed To Go Near scene have to say I’m especially proud of that particular piece of writing and that picture that goes with it which is why all of you will eventually get the exact same thing.
