I have a song called “Ahprahran” by them on a compilation and it’s utterly great but I know nothing at all about the band or what else they’ve done, other than they were on the English label Sarah Records in the 80s. I think they’re Australian, possibly.
They were an early 1990s Melbourne band. A few singles, a bit of gigging around the Fitzroy scene, that sort of thing. Some members, IIRC, went on to form The Steinbecks. Again IIRC, they still exist.
edit: Prahran is a Melbourne suburb - in between the twin musical poles of Melbourne Fitzroy and St Kilda.
Hit or miss band that’s popular in the twee pop scene. I’ve heard pretty diverse opinions on them, but some of their fans really seem to like them.
