Some of you may know I run a small, business-to-business computer game newsletter. We make a profit and have been in business for 6 years.
And now Jupiter Media, who I’m understanding is one of the largest electronic newsletter and online market research firms in the world just offered to buy us out…price to be negotiated.
I admit I’m over my head on this one. Does anyone know anything about JM that might be helpful?
First of all, JC, congratulations!! It’s great that a payoff might be coming your way. That would certainly help things, right now.
Surely there are people who specialize in this sort of negotiation whom one can hire. Damned if I know where to go looking for them (maybe someone here has some suggestions), but you are in all likelihood over your head, and if I were in your position, I’d want a pro negotiating on my behalf. Just like if I were a MLB player, I’d want an agent negotiating my contract, rather than doing it myself.
