Anyone know how much more I'll pay with a broken Comcast bundle?

As I mention in this thread, I’m seriously thinking of breaking up my Comcast bundle for a separate VoIP provider, on the logic that the bundling discount for the other services is lower than the savings I’d get from a MagicJack or Ooma or Vonage.

But I wanted to find out exactly what that gap is, and Googling did little for me. Can anyone give me a ballpark estimate? I assume there have to be others out there who did something similar.

Thanks!

This is going to depend heavily on what bundle you’re currently in, how long you’ve been in it, and whether or not you’re in a contract. Telling them initially you want to disconnect your service or downgrade it will get you to the retention queue, who are empowered to give you offers to keep you from downgrading that others might not be. They have two-product bundles as well, for people who only want to disconnect one product. You definitely want some kind of bundled package, unless you’re going for the cheapest level of service, as a la carte pricing is more expensive in most cases.

Several years, no contract. The two product bundle part is encouraging, though.

Still, how likely is it that the added cost would be $40 a month or more?
