I have been getting a little bored with Magic and with Magic Duels ended I thought maybe I would pick up a different game. The two I heard the most about are Hex and Eternal with Hex being said to be the better of the two. Anyone play either one? Are they fun? Can you play them for free or do they get expensive? Any opinions appreciated.
I’ve been playing Eternal a bit lately, and searched to see if anyone had a thread on it. So, to answer the OP: not many of us, I guess.
It’s not as strategically deep as Magic, but it’s freemium and you can play a game in ~5 minutes pretty easily. It’s much more interesting than Hearthstone. I’ve had fun playing it at the free level. I don’t get to draft as much as I like, but the matching algorithm is decent enough that my cobbled-together bad constructed decks end up reasonably competitive against the people I play.
I’d rather play Magic, but I don’t always have the hour to set aside for a match.
I appreciate the response I ended up picking up Elder Scrolls Legends but got bored and went back to Magic. Would still be interested in hearing about other games of this type.
