Anyone played Xenoblade Chronicles?

The reviews have been pretty good, and I’ve liked other JRPG’s like Final Fantasy. But I got pretty burned out on them after a few, too much grinding. Last one that I thought was interesting was Devil Survivor on the NDS.

Is it same old same old, or worth buying? I’m looking for a reason not to sell my Wii after I finish Skyward Sword

Are you in the North America? It’s one of the good games from this year that they’re staunchly refusing to release in NTSC territories. To play it you’d have to import it and either get a foreign Wii or crack your Wii to play PAL games.

Can’t speak for its quality, I’ve heard it’s very good.

I’m Europe so I can play it no problem. If it’s not released in the US though I’m probably unlikely to get many replies to this thread. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, I don’t understand NoA’s refusal to release this in North America. It’s already been translated into English! I don’t think anyone here would care if it’s not American English.

Doesn’t look like we’re going to get The Last Story either. But thank the Lord we got Mario Sports Mix. God I hope everyone at NoA gets fired.

I heard about this atrocity. I mean the non-US release, not the game.

Why would they not want to print some discs and let the US have it? It can’t be that much of a risk, profit wise.

Especially with some of the off-the-chart reviews that it’s getting. I’m seriously considering importing it if I get through the other games in my back-log before Christmas; if they announced a NA release I’d be an immediate pre-order.

I’ve preordered the game from Amazon from back when it was still called Monado: Beginning of the World as part of Operational Rainfall. My money is waiting for Nintendo to come collect it. Others agree. (youtube video)

In case there’s anyone less informed than me, Xenoblade has finally been confirmed for a stateside release. I actually didn’t even realize until I was searching eBay to buy the PAL version and all the listings had gotten inexplicably cheap overnight.
