Anyone remember the OTHER ROTK movie?

I remember it fondly from my childhood. What always grated me was my mother used to quote the “where there’s a whip, there’s a way” song.

Anybody know of any sites where they might have some screen captures and/or small clips? I vaguely remember these from my childhood, but can’t picture them.

I’m with BuckleberryFerry. I too liked this version, as well as their version of The Hobbit. I loved the orc/goblin designs and of course Smaug in The Hobbit. I even have the version of the book that went along with the animated film (The Hobbit).

Here is an image link for ya.

The Hobbit

These are the images from the book I mentioned in my previous post. Still trying to find something for ROTK.

Yay! I’m not alone! Thanks, also, Nurobath, for the link!

I rather like the animated HOBBIT. And much as I mock the animated ROTK, there are two rather effective moments- the Last Temptation of Sam (when he bears the ring & endures its pull) and Frodo’s chilling “I do not will…” line.

After watching FOTR two years ago with a friend, she asked to watch the cartoon ROTK. After Gandalf tells Pippin & Merry that the world of elves & wizards is at an end & soon the world will be given over to men & that the hobbits would merge into the human race, he says "and it may be in the future that humans reading of your adventures will think ‘Might there be some hobbit in me?’ "

My friend asked “Might there be some hobbit in you, Ted?”

My reply “I eat too much; I’m lazy; and I live in a hole at the end of the hall, Case closed.”

If he were played by Sean Astin or Dominic Monaghan, I’d be more than happy to have some hobbit in me…

Wait…was that inner voice or outer voice?

Frooodooooo… of the Niiiiiine Fingers!
And the Riiiing of Doooooom!
Why does he HAVE nine finnngers?
Where iiiiiis the riiiing?
I need to watch those things again. I think I’m old enough to appreciate them ironically.

You sure hated the hell out of it the first time around, kiddo.

Let’s watch it this weekend, after we see ROTK in the theaters for the second time!

Anybody out there remember how in Frodo’s dream in this movie the orcs turn into carebear-style cartoonish things, and have flowers fly out of their mouths and butt? And sing about how nice it would be if we were all nice to each other?

Or did I dream it myself?

Strict parents?
