I remember seeing quite a few of the girls reading them when I was in middle school.
I couldn’t stand Sweet Valley anything then and I can’t now. I actually prefered Judy Blume and the Babysitter’s Club a little more.
I remember those books. And the awful tv series. Don’t think they ever showed the twins’ parents and/or older brother in the tv series. It was like those twins had free rein of the whole house, could come and go as they pleased. No wonder they got into so much trouble.
It was cute, though, to see those twins appear in a McDonald’s commercial with Eddie the Echo.

It was “Dear Sister” and it was the first SVH book I ever bought! The cover was lilac and featured an appropriately distraught-looking Jessica holding a framed photo of Elizabeth.
And Elizabeth did more than make out with Bruce …
