I used to LOVE word.com back in '96 or so. It was the first internet magazine that I got into, and it’s long gone while embarassing, bloated rags like Salon.com are larger than ever.
Does anyone remember it? Did anyone love it? It was a collection of weird, funny, and interesting articles, comics, and interactive things like Dame Darcy’s “paper doll fun.”
I miss it terribly. Who loved it? Does anyone know why it suddenly vanished? What happened to the contributors? The creators?
