Anyone seen the movie "Primer"? Unboxed Spoilers.

I picked this up used at Blockbuster for $5 and just watched it. It was really good. Pretty interesting. Very Memento-ish. It is on Netflix for streaming right now so you can watch it there if you like.

It’s Sci-Fi Time travel movie. Less Scifi, more dramatic.

You should stop reading now if you want to avoid possibly major spoilers.

Ok. So I understand that these guys accidentally created a time machine and I followed everything well all the way up until the last 15 minutes or so when they woke up in the middle of the night to do something (I’m not sure what they were going to do) and they said someone named Mr. Granger was following them. Who was that? It looked like the blonde guy was chasing him but I never really got what happened. Who was in a coma? Why was he in a coma?

I also didn’t follow why Abe apparently went back and killed himself? OR drugged himself? I’m not sure what happened there. He poisoned himself or something

What was the failsafe room for? Didn’t get that either.

Why did he tell him not to come back at the end? What was he doing n Mexico or whatever at the very end? Was he trying to build a giant time machine?

I’m sure if I watch the movie again I will understand more of it but that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

I have other questions but if anyone can answer any of these I’d appreciate it.

Well, I can’t answer your specific questions, but I can say that I watched it a second time, myself, and everything that you don’t know to pay attention to the first time, you notice the second time and it fits together more nicely. I thought it was a great movie that was done on not very much money.

Okay. I found this website that gives an explanation of events and some of it is cleared up for me.

Good movie. I may end up watching it again so I can sort it out. I’m generally still confused though. Seems that there were a ton of copies of each of the guys running around at one time?

Here’s a good chart.

Yeah. I appreciate the link. I found that earlier. It’s pretty hard to follow. I was hoping for a little charttery on the movie too.

I didn’t realize the movie was as old as it is until a few minutes ago. I though it was in the last year or two. Turns out it was like 05 or 04.

Awesome. Movie.

The best no-budget time travel movie of all time, until Time Crimes came out this year.
