Anyone up for Wikipedia Leapfrog?

Doesn’t count that direction. It’s open for whoever wants to try.

Good thing I remembered Henry VIII was an avid tennis player or I’d have been forever getting this one:

A question about rules: All of the above use ‘in text’ terms, but for future reference do Categories count?
Next up:
The Boll Weevil Monument to Benjamin of Tudela

ETA: mine is 2 links shorter than Sampiro’s, assuming it’s ok to use disambiguation pages.

Sampiro, you are so amazing. You’re like, “Good thing I remembered that the atomic weight of Cerium is the same as the number of angels at Manfred Mann’s gate…”

For future reference, let’s say that using a link from categories is like sliding into a base – it’s not forbidden, but it’s not the best form. And I hope I’ve got my baseball facts straight!

What are categories in Wikipedia?

That was fiendishly clever!

Omniscient: Categories are sidebars, on the right side of the page, usually on the pages of broad general topics. They are the head of the octopus and cover a lot of territory, so you can get almost anywhere.

Damn it, this was tricky and I got it and I’m posting it, I don’t care that it’s been done!!

Surprisingly short trip. Tolkien FTW.

Woot

How about:
Mothto
Blue Law

ETA: Whoops, lessee if I can’t do the one **Omniscient **just posted.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jenna_von_O%C3%BF
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct-to-video
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefly_(TV_series)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon.com
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woot

This time in the right direction and for bonus points using Firefly.

Amazon owns Woot? Color me surprised.

An umlaut over the…“y”? Not in a heavy metal band?

Color * me* surprised, too.
(P.S. well played, Omniscient.)

(It wasn’t actually this easy – I tried about fifteen hops, gave up at “prohibition,” posted that, lost the post, tried again, and detoured to success.)

Next: Gerund to Magic Smoke,

I’ll do HardlySanguine’s:

I’m sure there is a shorter route but I couldn’t find it. How about from one ruthless killer to another:

Yorkshire Ripper: Peter Sutcliffe - Wikipedia

to

Venus Flytrap: Venus flytrap - Wikipedia.

On preview - beaten to it! But here it is anyway.

That after trying to go through all kinds of articles involving heat sinks, computer cooling, computer failure, bricking, etc etc.
